'The Twelve' in the Bible
And Jesus sent out the twelve, commanding them, Go not in the way of the Gentiles, and enter not into a city of the Samaritans.
And Jesus said to them, Truly I say unto you, that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man may sit upon the throne of His glory, you shall also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And Jesus going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples privately, on the way and said to them,
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, going to the chief priests,
And it being evening, He sat down at the table with the twelve.
And He still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
