'Three Times' in the Bible

"Three times in a year shall all thy men children appear before the Lord Jehovah.

And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, "What have I done unto thee, that thou smitest me thus three times?"

And the angel of the LORD said unto him, "Wherefore smitest thou thine ass this three times? Behold, I came out to resist thee, for the way is contrary unto me,

and the ass saw me and avoided me three times: or else, had she not turned from me, I had surely slain thee and saved her alive."
