'Wrath of the Lord' in the Bible

But yet the children of Israel trespassed in the excommunicate things: for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah of the tribe of Judah, took of the excommunicate things. And the wrath of the LORD waxed hot against the children of Israel.

when ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you: and have gone and served strange gods, and bowed yourselves to them. Then shall the wrath of the LORD wax hot upon you, and ye shall perish quickly, from off the good land which he hath given you."
