As for you, keep in your hearts what you have heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the first dwells and remains in you, then you will dwell in the Son and in the Father [always]. And this is what He Himself has promised us -- "the life, the eternal [life].

Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. For as I passed along and carefully observed your objects of worship, I came also upon an altar with this inscription, To the unknown god.
