Abram said, “O Lord God, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”
There was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren and had borne no children.
He had two wives: the name of one was Hannah and the name of the other Peninnah; and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
So he said, “What then is to be done for her?” And Gehazi answered, “Truly she has no son and her husband is old.”
But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.
Now there were seven brothers; and the first took a wife and died childless;
