Thematic Bible

By transgression an evil man is ensnared, But the righteous sings and rejoices. The righteous is concerned for the rights of the poor, The wicked does not understand such concern.

And I discovered more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, whose hands are chains. One who is pleasing to God will escape from her, but the sinner will be captured by her.

A man who flatters his neighbor Is spreading a net for his steps. By transgression an evil man is ensnared, But the righteous sings and rejoices.

'For wicked men are found among My people, They watch like fowlers lying in wait; They set a trap, They catch men. 'Like a cage full of birds, So their houses are full of deceit; Therefore they have become great and rich. 'They are fat, they are sleek, They also excel in deeds of wickedness; They do not plead the cause, The cause of the orphan, that they may prosper; And they do not defend the rights of the poor.

He who leads the upright astray in an evil way
Will himself fall into his own pit,
But the blameless will inherit good.

“For he is thrown into the net by his own feet,
And he steps on the webbing.

The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made;
In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.

He who digs a pit may fall into it, and a serpent may bite him who breaks through a wall.

Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse;
He who guards himself will be far from them.

He who digs a pit will fall into it,
And he who rolls a stone, it will come back on him.

By transgression an evil man is ensnared,
But the righteous sings and rejoices.

“Many will stumble over them,
Then they will fall and be broken;
They will even be snared and caught.”
