And from this time Jesus began to show to His disciples, that it behooves Him to go away to Jerusalem, and to suffer many things from the elders and the chief priest and the scribes, and to be killed, and rise the third day.

And the scribes and high priests heard Him, seeking how they might destroy Him: for they feared Him, because all the multitude were delighted with His teaching.
And He was teaching daily in the temple, and the chief priests and scribes and the first men of the people were seeking to destroy Him.
And the husbandmen, seeing him, reasoned among themselves saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, in order that the inheritance may be ours.
But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard with God: Abraham did not this.
Did not Moses give you the law? and no one of you does the law. Why do you seek to kill me?
Then they took up stones that they might cast at Him: and Jesus was hidden, and departed out from the temple.
The disciples said to Him, Master, the Jews were but now seeking to stone thee; dost thou go hither again?
At that hour certain Pharisees came to Him, saying; Depart, and go hence: because Herod wishes to slay thee.
And those husbandmen said to one another; This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.
Pilate says to them, Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ? They all say to him, Let Him be crucified.
And the governor said, For what evil hath He done? And they continued to cry out more vociferously, saying, Let Him be crucified.
And they again cried out, Crucify Him. And Pilate said to them, For what evil hath He done? And they cried out uproariously, Crucify Him.
Then when the high priest and officers saw Him, they cried out, Crucify Him, crucify Him. Pilate says to them, You take Him, and crucify Him: for I find nothing criminal in Him.
Then they cried out, Take Him away, take Him away, crucify Him. Pilate says to them, Shall I crucify your King? And the chief priests responded, We have no king but Caesar.
And they continued to lay on with great voices, demanding that He should be crucified: and the voices of them and the high priests continued to grow stronger.
Then Jesus says to them, You will all be offended in me this night: for it has been written, I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered.
