He said, "Why, what has he done that is wrong?" But they shouted all the louder, "Have him crucified!"
They shouted back, "Crucify him!" And Pilate said to them, "Why, what has he done that is wrong?" But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"
When the high priests and their attendants saw him, they shouted, "Have him crucified! Have him crucified!" Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves and have him crucified, for I can find nothing to charge him with."
At that they shouted, "Kill him! Kill him! Have him crucified!" Pilate said to them, "Am I to crucify your king?" The high priests answered, "We have no king but the emperor!"
But they persisted with loud outcries in demanding that he be crucified, and their shouting won.
Then Jesus said to them, "You will all desert me tonight, for the Scriptures say, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'
