Then Pilate said to them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. And Pilate, willing to satisfy the people, released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Jesus, delivered him to be crucified.

After this I saw, and behold a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes and palms in their hands.

And he saith to me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are people, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

And great multitudes were gathered together, to him, so that he went into the vessel and sat, and all the multitude stood on the shore.

And again he taught by the sea-side, and a great multitude was gathered to him, so that going into the boat, he sat in the sea, and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.

And much people being gathered together, coming to him out of every city, he spake by a parable, A sower went forth to sow his seed:

And they come into an house: And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

And when Jesus was passed over again by boat to the other side, much people was gathered to him, and he was near the sea.

In the mean time, an innumerable multitude being gathered together, so that they trod one upon another, he said to his disciples first, Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

And when he was come down from the Mountain, great multitudes followed him.

Then Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him,

And great multitudes went with him. And he turned and said to them,

And a great multitude followed him, because they had seen the miracles which he did on the diseased.

And Jesus seeing that the multitude came running together, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying, Thou deaf and dumb spirit, I command thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

For he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay dying. But as he went, the people thronged him.

that came forth to be baptized of him, Ye brood of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

And great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, dumb, disabled, and many others; and cast them at the feet of Jesus, and he healed them:

And Levi made him a great entertainment, in his own house; and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

And the people who were with him, when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, bare witness.

Jesus said to the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

And when the messengers of John were departed, he said to the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see?

The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the seaside. And great multitudes were gathered together, to him, so that he went into the vessel and sat, and all the multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things to them in parables, saying, Behold a sower went forth to sow.

All these things spake Jesus to the multitude in parables, and without a parable spake he not unto them:

And calling the multitudes he said to them, Hear and understand.

marvelled, and glorified God, who had given such power to men.

And they were astonished at his teaching; for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

David therefore himself calleth him Lord: How is he then his son? And a great multitude heard him gladly.

And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?

Yet none of you keepeth the law. Why seek ye to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil. Who seeketh to kill thee?

But when they sought to apprehend him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.

And the next sabbath almost the whole city was gathered together, to hear the word of God. But the Jews seeing the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and spake against the things spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

Then spake Jesus to the multitudes and to his disciples, saying, The scribes and Pharisees sit in the chair of Moses:

And he leaped and walked. But the multitude, seeing what Paul had done, lifted up their voice, saying, in the Lycaonian language, The gods are come down to us, in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas Jupiter, and Paul Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard it, they rent their clothes and sprang in among the people, crying out and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? But not finding them, they dragged Jason and certain brethren to the rulers of the city, crying aloud, These men, that have turned the world upside down, are come hither also: Whom Jason hath privately received; and all these men act contrary to the decrees of Cesar, saying, that there is another king, one Jesus.read more.
And they alarmed the multitude and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things. However having taken security of Jason and of the rest, they let them go. But the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night to Berea, who coming thither, went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more ingenuous than those of Thessalonica, receiving the word with all readiness of mind, and daily searching the scriptures, whether those things were so? Therefore many of them believed, and of the Grecian women of considerable rank, and of the men not a few. But when the Jews of Thessalonica knew that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea also, they came thither likewise, and stirred up the multitude.

And going forth he saw a great multitude, and was moved with tender compassion for them, and healed their sick.

And when Paul would have gone in to the people, the disciples would not suffer him. And some also of the principal officers of Asia, being his friends, sent to him and desired, that he would not venture himself into the theatre. Some therefore cried one thing, and some another; for the assembly was confused, and the greater part did not know, for what they were come together.read more.

This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: yea, and hath even brought Greeks into the temple, and polluted this holy place. And the whole city was moved, and the people ran together; and laying hold on Paul, they dragged him out of the temple: and immediately the gates were shut. And as they went about to kill him, word came to the tribune of the cohort, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar: Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them; and when they saw the tribune and the soldiers, they ceased from beating Paul. Then the tribune came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains, and inquired, Who he was, and what he had done? But some among the multitude cried out one thing, some another; and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle. But when he came upon the stairs, he was borne of the soldiers, through the violence of the people. For the multitude of people followed after, crying, Away with him. And as Paul was about to be brought into the castle, he said to the chief captain, May I speak to thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek? Art not thou that Egyptian, who before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out four thousand murtherers into the wilderness? But Paul said, I am a man who am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and I beseech thee, suffer me to speak to the people. And when he had given him leave, Paul standing on the stairs, waved his hand to the people: and a great silence being made, he spake to them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

And great multitudes followed him, and he healed them there.

And in the evening his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past: send the multitude away, that going into the villages, they may buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said to them, They need not go: give ye them to eat. They say to him, We have here but five loaves and two fishes.read more.
He said, Bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass; and taking the five loaves and the two fishes, looking up to heaven, he blessed and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they all ate and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand, beside women and children.

And they heard him to this word, and then lifted up their voice and said, Away with such a fellow from the earth; for it is not fit that he should live.

And when the day was now far spent, the disciples coming to him said, This is a desert place, and it is now late. Send them away, that they may go into the country and villages round about, and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat. He answered and said to them, Give ye them to eat. And they say to him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?read more.
He saith to them, How many loaves have you? Go and see. And when they knew, they said, Five, and two fishes. And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies on the green grass. And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties. And taking the five loaves, and the two fishes, looking up to heaven, he blessed, and gave them to the disciples to set before them: and he divided the two fishes among them all. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments and of the fishes. And they that had eaten of the loaves, were about five thousand men.

And the day began to decline. And the twelve coming to him said, send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge and find victuals: for we are here in a desert place. But he said to them, give ye them to eat. And they said, we have no more than five loaves and two fishes, except we should go and buy meat for all this people. For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down, by fifties in a company.read more.
And they did so, and made them all sit down. Then taking the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they all ate and were satisfied, and there were taken up of fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

Jesus then lifting up his eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming to him, saith to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? (But this he said, trying him; for he himself knew what he intended to do.) Philip answered him, Two hundred penny-worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that each of them may take a little.read more.
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith to him, Here is a lad, who hath five barley-loaves and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? Jesus said, Make the men sit down. (Now there was much grass in the place) So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. Then Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks, distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were sat down, and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he saith to his disciples, Gather up the fragments which remain, that nothing be lost. They therefore gathered them, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley-loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten.

After this I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah: The salvation, and the glory, and the power to our God.

Then Jesus calling his disciples to him said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. And his disciples say to him, Whence should we have so much bread in a wilderness, as to satisfy so great a multitude? And Jesus saith to them, How many loaves have you?read more.
They said, Seven, and a few small fishes. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass. And taking the seven loaves and the fishes, he gave thanks and brake them and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they all ate and were satisfied, and they took up of the fragments that remained seven baskets full. And they that had eaten were four thousand men, besides women and children.

In those days, the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus calling his disciples saith to them, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat. And if I send them away fasting to their own home, they will faint by the way; for divers of them come from far.read more.
And his disciples answered him, Whence can one satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. In that hour Jesus said to the multitude, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple and ye took me not.

And Jesus answering said to them, Are ye come as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to take me?

And Jesus coming into the ruler's house, and seeing the minstrels and the croud who cried out aloud, Saith to them, Withdraw; for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth: and they derided him. But when the people were put forth, he went in and took her by the hand; and the maid arose.

And not being able to come nigh him for the croud, they uncovered the roof where he was, and having broken it up, they let down the couch whereon the paralytic lay.

And not finding by what way they might bring him in thro' the multitude, they went upon the house, and let him down thro' the tiling with his couch into the midst, before Jesus.

And he constrained his disciples, to go straightway into the vessel, and go before him to the other side, while he sent the multitude away.

And straightway he constrained his disciples to go into the boat, and go before to the other side toward Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.

But he passing thro' the midst of them, went away.

And having sent away the multitude, they take him as he was in the boat. And there were with him other little vessels.

And he that was healed knew not who he was; for Jesus had retired, a multitude being in the place.

And taking him aside from the multitude, he put his fingers into his ears, and spitting, touched his tongue.

Master, I have brought to thee my son, who hath a dumb spirit.

And the next day, as they came down from the mountain, a great multitude met him. And behold a man from the croud, cried aloud saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son; for he is my only child. And lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out, and it teareth him, that he foameth, and bruising him, hardly departeth from him.read more.

And a certain woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grown worse, Having heard of Jesus, came in the croud behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I but touch his clothes, I shall be whole. And the fountain of her blood was straightway dried up, and she knew in her body, that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus immediately knowing in himself, that virtue had gone out of him, turning about in the croud said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round to see her that had done this. And the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace, and continue whole of thy plague.

And as he drew nigh the gate of the city, behold a dead man was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a great multitude of the city was with her.

Now this was a rich man. And he sought to see Jesus who he was, and could not for the croud, because he was little of stature.

And they come to Jericho. And as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging. And when he heard, It is Jesus of Nazareth, he cried out and said, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him to hold his peace; but he cried so much the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

And while he was yet nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging. And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked, what it meant? And they told him, Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.read more.
And he cried aloud saying, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me. And they that went before charged him to hold his peace; but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

As he spake these things, a certain woman lifting up her voice out of the multitude said to him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked!

In these lay a great multitude of diseased, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at certain times into the bath, and the water was troubled: and whosoever went in first, after the troubling of the water, was made whole, whatsoever disease he had. Jesus seeing him lie, and knowing that he had now been diseased a long time, saith to him, Desirest thou to be made whole? The infirm man answered him, Sir, I have no man to put me into the bath, when the water is troubled; and while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith to him, Rise, take up thy bed and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked: and the same day was the sabbath.

Father, I thank thee, that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but I spake this, because of the people who stand by, that they may believe thou hast sent me.
