Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rains.
And he told them a parable, saying: "The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully.
At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants, to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard.
And he said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground,
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?"
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will multiply the harvest of your righteousness.
For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.
Then he began to tell the people this parable: "A man planted a vineyard, leased it to vine-dressers, and went into another country for a long time.
But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed; its end is to be burned.
and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how.
And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius.
Some fell on the rock; and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
Then he told them many things in parables, saying: "A sower went out to sow his seed.
