Who is a God like to thee, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. He will again have compassion upon us. He will tread our iniquities under foot, and thou will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Thou will perform the truth to Jacob, [and] the loving kindness to Abraham, which thou have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
If we say that we have no sin, we lead ourselves astray, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous so that he will forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from every unrighteousness.
