For he saith to Moses, "I will show mercy to whom I show mercy: And will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
And he said, "I will make all my good go before thee, and I will be called in this name Jehovah before thee, and will show mercy to whom I show mercy, and will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
So hath he mercy on whom he will. And whom he will, he maketh hard hearted.
Upon this complaint, I thought thus by myself: Is not Ephraim my dear son? Is he not the child, with whom I have had all mirth and pastime?
