And he said to them, "Come away by yourselves to some quiet place, and rest a little while." For people were coming and going in large numbers, and they had no time even for meals. So they set off by themselves in their boat for a secluded place.
Come to me, all of you who toil and are burdened, and I will let you rest.

Be very careful, then, about the way you live. Do not act thoughtlessly, but like sensible men, and make the most of your opportunity, for these are evil times.
Besides, as they go about from house to house they learn to be idle, and not only idle but gossips and busybodies, and talk of things they ought not to mention.
For we hear that some of you are living in idleness, mere busybodies, not doing any work.
so that you may never grow careless, but may learn to follow the example of those who through their faith and endurance are the possessors of God's promises.
And what falls among the thorns means those who listen and pass on, and the worries and wealth and pleasures of life stifle them and they yield nothing.
Not many days later, the younger son gathered up all he had, and went away to a distant country, and there he squandered his property by fast living.
You have lived luxuriously and voluptuously here on earth; you have fattened your hearts for the day of slaughter.

But take care that your hearts are not loaded down with self-indulgence and drunkenness and worldly cares, and that day takes you by surprise, like a trap.
