Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is well pleasing in Christians.

In his name, then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit of lips that confess his name. And forget not to be kind and liberal; for with that sort of sacrifice God is well pleased.

For the Law, being only a shadow of the good things to come, and not their very substance, its priests cannot with the same sacrifice which year after year they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near. Otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered? Because the worshippers having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sin. now without faith it is impossible to please him; for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he ever rewards those who are seeking.
