Blessed is the person who endures trial, for when he stands the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

And yet in all these things we keep on gloriously conquering through Him who loved us.

For inasmuch as He has suffered Himself by being tempted, He is able to give immediate help to any that are tempted.

For we do not have a High Priest who is incapable of sympathizing with us in our weaknesses, but we have One who was tempted in every respect as we are, and yet without committing any sin. So let us continue coming with courage to the throne of God's unmerited favor to obtain His mercy and to find His spiritual strength to help us when we need it.

You must consider it the purest joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials, for you surely know that what is genuine in your faith produces the patient mind that endures;

But you, as a man of God, must be fleeing always from these things; you must constantly strive for uprightness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. So then, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will fly from you.
