He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of thy works. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herbage for the service of man, that he may bring forth food out of the earth, and wine that makes glad the heart of man, [and] oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.
And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, [and] fruit trees bearing fruit according to their kind (in which is the seed of them) upon the earth. And it was so.
And no plant of the field was yet in the earth, and no herb of the field had yet sprung up, for LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth. And there was not a man to till the ground,
In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thy hand, for thou know not which shall prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he [continually] open and harrow his ground?
