And he said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and should rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance for the remission of sins should be preached in his name among all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Ye are witnesses of these things.
And the centurion and they who with him were watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and what was taking place, were exceedingly afraid, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
And the centurion who stood over against him, seeing that he so expired, said, Truly this man was the Son of God.
And the centurion, seeing what was done, gave glory to God, saying, Surely this was a righteous man.
On the morrow John was again standing, and two of his disciples; and looking upon Jesus as he was walking, he saith, Behold, the Lamb of God!
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All power was given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, and make all nations my disciples, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
And these glad tidings of the kingdom will be published throughout the whole world for a testimony to all the nations; and then will come the end.
But ye will receive power when the Holy Spirit hath come upon you; and ye will be my witnesses, both in Jerusalem and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
But the Lord said to him, Go; for this man is to me a chosen vessel, to bear my name before nations, and kings, and the sons of Israel. For I myself will show him how great things he must suffer for my names sake.
There was a man, sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness of the light, that through him all might believe. He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
John beareth witness of him, and crieth, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that cometh after me hath gone before me; for he was before me.
To him all the prophets bear witness, that through his name every one that believeth in him shall receive forgiveness of sins.
Pilate therefore said to him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest what is true; for I am a king. For this end have I been born, and for this cause have I come into the world, that I may bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth listeneth to my voice.
He that cometh from above is above all. He that is from the earth is earthly, and speaketh earthly things; he that cometh from heaven testifieth what he hath seen and heard; and no one receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set his seal that God is true.read more.
For he whom God sent speaketh the words of God; for he giveth not the Spirit by measure.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye may show forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light;
but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. And be ready always to give an answer to every one that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you, but with meekness and fear;
for if thou shalt acknowledge with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth so as to obtain righteousness, and with the mouth professeth so as to obtain salvation.
Every one therefore who shall acknowledge me before men, him will I also acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.
For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will also the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
And I say to you, Every one that acknowledgeth me before men, him will the Son of man also acknowledge before the angels of God. But he that hath denied me before men, shall be denied before the angels of God.
But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, "I believed, and therefore I spoke," we also believe, and therefore speak;
Whoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; he that acknowledgeth the Son hath also the Father.
And he asked them, But who do ye say that I am? Peter answering saith to him, Thou art the Christ.
And he said to them, But who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
And they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad what had been told them concerning this child.
One of the two who heard what John said, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peters brother. He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith to him, We have found the Messiah; (which is, when interpreted, the Christ.) He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looking upon him said, Thou art Simon, the son of John; thou shalt be called Cephas; (which signifieth Peter, that is, Rock.)
She saith to him, Yea, Lord; I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, he who was to come into the world.
And as Jesus passed on from thence, two blind men followed him, crying out and saying, Have pity on us, Son of David! And when he had come into the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus saith to them, Do ye believe that I am able to do this? They say to him, Yea, Lord. Then he touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done to you.read more.
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly charged them, saying, See that no one know it. But they went out, and spread abroad his fame in all that country.
And there cometh a leper to him beseeching him, and kneeling down, saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith, I will; be thou cleansed. And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.read more.
And sternly charging him, he immediately sent him away, saying to him, See that thou say nothing to any one; but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them. But he went away, and began to publish it constantly, and to spread the matter abroad, so that Jesus could no more enter a city openly, but was without in desert places; and they came to him from every quarter.
He therefore answered, Whether he is a sinner, I know not; one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
