'Adversaries' in the Bible
A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.O Lord, how my adversaries have increased!Many are rising up against me.
Lord, lead me in Your righteousnessbecause of my adversaries;make Your way straight before me.
Old from provocation is mine eye, It is old because of all mine adversaries,
Rise up, Lord, in Your anger;lift Yourself up against the fury of my adversaries;awake for me;You have ordained a judgment.
Because of Your adversaries,You have established a strongholdfrom the mouths of children and nursing infantsto silence the enemy and the avenger.
