'Begging' in the Bible
“Will he make many supplications to you [begging to be spared]?Or will he speak soft words to you [to coax you to treat him kindly]?
I have been young and now I am old,Yet I have not seen the righteous (those in right standing with God) abandonedOr his descendants pleading for bread.
Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.
As Jesus went into Capernaum, a centurion came up to Him, begging Him [for help],
So the slave fell on his knees and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’
And a leper came to Him, begging Him and falling on his knees before Him, saying, “If You are willing, You are able to make me clean.”
