'Fortify' in the Bible

and ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and have broken down the houses to fortify the wall;

Though Babylon should mount up to the heavens, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith Jehovah.

He that dasheth in pieces is come up against thy face: keep the fortress, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
