'Gash' in the Bible

"You [are] children of Yahweh your God; [therefore] you must not gash yourself, and {you must not make your forehead bald} for [the] dead.

Both great men and small will die in this land; they will not be buried, they will not be lamented, nor will anyone gash himself or shave his head for them.

Baldness is coming to Gaza.Ashkelon will become silent,a remnant of their valley.How long will you gash yourself?
