'Heal' in the Bible

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “God, please heal her!”

See now that I alone am He;there is no God but Me.I bring death and I give life;I wound and I heal.No one can rescue anyone from My hand.

“Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people, ‘This is what the Lord God of your ancestor David says: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Look, I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the Lord’s temple.

Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, “What is the sign that the Lord will heal me and that I will go up to the Lord’s temple on the third day?”

and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

For He crushes but also binds up;He strikes, but His hands also heal.

Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak;heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking;

The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed;You will heal him on the bed where he lies.

I said, “Lord, be gracious to me;heal me, for I have sinned against You.”

You have shaken the land and split it open.Heal its fissures, for it shudders.

a time to kill and a time to heal;a time to tear down and a time to build;

The Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing. Then they will return to the Lord and He will hear their prayers and heal them.

I have seen his ways, but I will heal him;I will lead him and restore comfortto him and his mourners,

creating words of praise.”The Lord says,“Peace, peace to the one who is far or near,and I will heal him.

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me,because the Lord has anointed Meto bring good news to the poor.He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,to proclaim liberty to the captivesand freedom to the prisoners;

Return, you faithless children.I will heal your unfaithfulness.“Here we are, coming to You,for You are the Lord our God.

Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;save me, and I will be saved,for You are my praise.

No one takes up the case for your sores.There is no healing for you.

Yet I will certainly bring health and healing to it and will indeed heal them. I will let them experience the abundance of peace and truth.

We tried to heal Babylon,but she could not be healed.Abandon her!Let each of us go to his own land,for her judgment extends to the skyand reaches as far as the clouds.

מ MemWhat can I say on your behalf?What can I compare you to, Daughter Jerusalem?What can I liken you to,so that I may console you, Virgin Daughter Zion?For your ruin is as vast as the sea.Who can heal you?

When Ephraim saw his sicknessand Judah his wound,Ephraim went to Assyriaand sent a delegation to the great king.But he cannot cure you or heal your wound.

Come, let us return to the Lord.For He has torn us,and He will heal us;He has wounded us,and He will bind up our wounds.

when I heal Israel,the sins of Ephraim and the crimes of Samariawill be exposed.For they practice fraud;a thief breaks in;a raiding party pillages outside.

I will heal their apostasy;I will freely love them,for My anger will have turned from him.

I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are going astray, and he will not seek the lost or heal the broken. He will not sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hooves.

In order to accuse Him, they were watching Him closely to see whether He would heal him on the Sabbath.

Then He said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Doctor, heal yourself. So all we’ve heard that took place in Capernaum, do here in Your hometown also.’”

When the sun was setting, all those who had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to Him. As He laid His hands on each one of them, He would heal them.

On one of those days while He was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea, and also from Jerusalem. And the Lord’s power to heal was in Him.

The scribes and Pharisees were watching Him closely, to see if He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a charge against Him.

Summoning the Twelve, He gave them power and authority over all the demons, and power to heal diseases.

Then He sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Heal the sick who are there, and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near you.’

In response, Jesus asked the law experts and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”

When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and pleaded with Him to come down and heal his son, for he was about to die.

He has blinded their eyesand hardened their hearts,so that they would not see with their eyesor understand with their hearts,and be converted,and I would heal them.

For the hearts of these peoplehave grown callous,their ears are hard of hearing,and they have shut their eyes;otherwise they might see with their eyesand hear with their ears,understand with their heart,and be converted,and I would heal them.
