'Heard' in the Bible

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God moving about in the orchard at the breezy time of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the orchard.

The man replied, "I heard you moving about in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid."

Jacob heard that Laban's sons were complaining, "Jacob has taken everything that belonged to our father! He has gotten rich at our father's expense!"

When Jacob heard that Shechem had violated his daughter Dinah, his sons were with the livestock in the field. So Jacob remained silent until they came in.

Now Jacob's sons had come in from the field when they heard the news. They were offended and very angry because Shechem had disgraced Israel by sexually assaulting Jacob's daughter, a crime that should not be committed.

While Israel was living in that land, Reuben had sexual relations with Bilhah, his father's concubine, and Israel heard about it. Jacob had twelve sons:

The man said, "They left this area, for I heard them say, 'Let's go to Dothan.'" So Joseph went after his brothers and found them at Dothan.

When Jacob heard there was grain in Egypt, he said to his sons, "Why are you looking at each other?"

They got their gifts ready for Joseph's arrival at noon, for they had heard that they were to have a meal there.

He wept loudly; the Egyptians heard it and Pharaoh's household heard about it.
