'Man' in the Bible
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,Nor stand in the path of sinners,Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself;The Lord hears when I call to Him.
You destroy those who speak falsehood;The Lord abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O Lord,You surround him with favor as with a shield.
If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword;He has bent His bow and made it ready.
What is man that You take thought of him,And the son of man that You care for him?
Arise, O Lord, do not let man prevail;Let the nations be judged before You.
For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire,And the greedy man curses and spurns the Lord.
To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed,So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.

He delivers me from my enemies;Surely You lift me above those who rise up against me;You rescue me from the violent man.

But I am a worm and not a man,A reproach of men and despised by the people.
Who is the man who fears the Lord?He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
I am forgotten as a dead man, out of mind;I am like a broken vessel.
You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man;You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.
How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,And in whose spirit there is no deceit!
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard himAnd saved him out of all his troubles.
O taste and see that the Lord is good;How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!
Who is the man who desires lifeAnd loves length of days that he may see good?
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;Your judgments are like a great deep.O Lord, You preserve man and beast.
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him;Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.
Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more;And you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there.
The steps of a man are established by the Lord,And He delights in his way.
I have seen a wicked, violent manSpreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.
Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright;For the man of peace will have a posterity.
But I, like a deaf man, do not hear;And I am like a mute man who does not open his mouth.
Yes, I am like a man who does not hear,And in whose mouth are no arguments.
“Behold, You have made my days as handbreadths,And my lifetime as nothing in Your sight;Surely every man at his best is a mere breath. Selah.
“Surely every man walks about as a phantom;Surely they make an uproar for nothing;He amasses riches and does not know who will gather them.
“With reproofs You chasten a man for iniquity;You consume as a moth what is precious to him;Surely every man is a mere breath. Selah.
How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust,And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood.
Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation;O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!
No man can by any means redeem his brotherOr give to God a ransom for him—
But man in his pomp will not endure;He is like the beasts that perish.
Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich,When the glory of his house is increased;

Arise, O God, and plead Your own cause;Remember how the foolish man reproaches You all day long.
For the wrath of man shall praise You;With a remnant of wrath You will gird Yourself.

Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand,Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.
How blessed is the man whose strength is in You,In whose heart are the highways to Zion!
O Lord of hosts,How blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Blessed is the man whom You chasten, O Lord,And whom You teach out of Your law;

He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,And vegetation for the labor of man,So that he may bring forth food from the earth,
Man goes forth to his workAnd to his labor until evening.
He permitted no man to oppress them,And He reproved kings for their sakes:
They reeled and staggered like a drunken man,And were at their wits’ end.
Oh give us help against the adversary,For deliverance by man is in vain.
Appoint a wicked man over him,And let an accuser stand at his right hand.
Because he did not remember to show lovingkindness,But persecuted the afflicted and needy man,And the despondent in heart, to put them to death.
Praise the Lord!How blessed is the man who fears the Lord,Who greatly delights in His commandments.
It is well with the man who is gracious and lends;He will maintain his cause in judgment.
The Lord is for me; I will not fear;What can man do to me?
It is better to take refuge in the LordThan to trust in man.

Redeem me from the oppression of man,That I may keep Your precepts.
