'Myrtle' in the Bible

So they proclaimed and spread this news throughout their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the hill country and bring back branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make booths, just as it is written.”

Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up,and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up;it will make a name for Yahwehas an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

I looked out in the night and saw a man riding on a red horse. He was standing among the myrtle trees in the valley. Behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.

Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, “They are the ones the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.”

They reported to the Angel of the Lord standing among the myrtle trees, “We have patrolled the earth, and right now the whole earth is calm and quiet.”
