“Turn to my reproof,Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;I will make my words known to you.
And you neglected all my counselAnd did not want my reproof;
“They would not accept my counsel,They spurned all my reproof.
My son, do not reject the discipline of the LordOr loathe His reproof,
And you say, “How I have hated instruction!And my heart spurned reproof!
He is on the path of life who heeds instruction,But he who ignores reproof goes astray.
