When Your people Israel are defeated before an enemy,because they have sinned against You,and they return to You and praise Your name,and they pray and plead with Youfor mercy in this temple,

and when they return to You with their whole mind and heartin the land of their enemies who took them captive,and when they pray to You in the direction of their landthat You gave their ancestors,the city You have chosen,and the temple I have built for Your name,

Rehoboam replied, “Go home for three days and then return to me.” So the people left.

So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king had ordered: “Return to me on the third day.”

If these people regularly go to offer sacrifices in the Lord’s temple in Jerusalem, the heart of these people will return to their lord, Rehoboam king of Judah. They will murder me and go back to the king of Judah.”

Then he stretched himself out over the boy three times. He cried out to the Lord and said, “My Lord God, please let this boy’s life return to him!”

Then the Lord said to him, “Go and return by the way you came to the Wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive, you are to anoint Hazael as king over Aram.

So Micaiah said:I saw all Israel scattered on the hillslike sheep without a shepherd.And the Lord said,“They have no master;let everyone return home in peace.”

Then the king of Israel ordered, “Take Micaiah and return him to Amon, the governor of the city, and to Joash, the king’s son,

But Micaiah said, “If you ever return safely, the Lord has not spoken through me.” Then he said, “Listen, all you people!”
