'Scorching' in the Bible
He will rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked;a scorching wind will be their portion.
Can a man walk on burning coalswithout scorching his feet?
A worthless man digs up evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire.
They will not hunger or thirst, the scorching heat or sun will not strike them;for their compassionate One will guide them, and lead them to springs of water.
As the sun was rising, God appointed a scorching east wind. The sun beat down so much on Jonah’s head that he almost fainted, and he wanted to die. He said, “It’s better for me to die than to live.”
For the sun rises with its scorching heat and dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will wither away while pursuing his activities.
