'Sea' in the Bible
And it will growl over it in that day like the roaring of the sea.If one looks to the land, behold, there is darkness and distress;Even the light is darkened by its clouds.
But there will be no more gloom for her who was in anguish; in earlier times He treated the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali with contempt, but later on He shall make it glorious, by the way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles.

For the fields of Heshbon have withered, the vines of Sibmah as well;The lords of the nations have trampled down its choice clustersWhich reached as far as Jazer and wandered to the deserts;Its tendrils spread themselves out and passed over the sea.
Which sends envoys by the sea,Even in papyrus vessels on the surface of the waters.Go, swift messengers, to a nation tall and smooth,To a people feared far and wide,A powerful and oppressive nationWhose land the rivers divide.
The waters from the sea will dry up,And the river will be parched and dry.
The oracle concerning the wilderness of the sea.As windstorms in the Negev sweep on,It comes from the wilderness, from a terrifying land.
Be silent, you inhabitants of the coastland,You merchants of Sidon;Your messengers crossed the sea

Thus says the Lord,Who makes a way through the seaAnd a path through the mighty waters,
“It is I who says to the depth of the sea, ‘Be dried up!’And I will make your rivers dry.
“If only you had paid attention to My commandments!Then your well-being would have been like a river,And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
“Why was there no man when I came?When I called, why was there none to answer?Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom?Or have I no power to deliver?Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke,I make the rivers a wilderness;Their fish stink for lack of waterAnd die of thirst.
Was it not You who dried up the sea,The waters of the great deep;Who made the depths of the sea a pathwayFor the redeemed to cross over?
For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the Lord of hosts is His name).
But the wicked are like the tossing sea,For it cannot be quiet,And its waters toss up refuse and mud.
“Then you will see and be radiant,And your heart will thrill and rejoice;Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you,The wealth of the nations will come to you.
Then His people remembered the days of old, of Moses.Where is He who brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of His flock?Where is He who put His Holy Spirit in the midst of them,
