'Sins' in the Bible
“Come now, and let us reason together,”Says the Lord,“Though your sins are as scarlet,They will be as white as snow;Though they are red like crimson,They will be like wool.
“Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness,For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.
“Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended,That her iniquity has been removed,That she has received of the Lord’s handDouble for all her sins.”
“You have bought Me not sweet cane with money,Nor have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices;Rather you have burdened Me with your sins,You have wearied Me with your iniquities.
“I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake,And I will not remember your sins.
“I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloudAnd your sins like a heavy mist.Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
“Cry loudly, do not hold back;Raise your voice like a trumpet,And declare to My people their transgressionAnd to the house of Jacob their sins.
But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
For our transgressions are multiplied before You,And our sins testify against us;For our transgressions are with us,And we know our iniquities:
