'Soul' in the Bible

For wisdom will enter your heartAnd knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

So they will be life to your soulAnd adornment to your neck.

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing,But the soul of the diligent is made fat.

Desire realized is sweet to the soul,But it is an abomination to fools to turn away from evil.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb,Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

A fool’s mouth is his ruin,And his lips are the snare of his soul.

He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;He who keeps understanding will find good.

He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,But he who is careless of conduct will die.

The soul of the wicked desires evil;His neighbor finds no favor in his eyes.

He who guards his mouth and his tongue,Guards his soul from troubles.

You shall strike him with the rodAnd rescue his soul from Sheol.

If you say, “See, we did not know this,”Does He not consider it who weighs the hearts?And does He not know it who keeps your soul?And will He not render to man according to his work?

Know that wisdom is thus for your soul;If you find it, then there will be a future,And your hope will not be cut off.

Like the cold of snow in the time of harvestIs a faithful messenger to those who send him,For he refreshes the soul of his masters.

Like cold water to a weary soul,So is good news from a distant land.

Correct your son, and he will give you comfort;He will also delight your soul.
