'Three' in the Bible
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
He spoke another parable to them. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, until it was all leavened."
Jesus summoned his disciples and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I don't want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way."
Peter answered, and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let's make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
Jesus said to him, "Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times."
and said, "This man said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.'"
Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times." He went out and wept bitterly.
and saying, "You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!"
saying, "Sir, we remember what that deceiver said while he was still alive: 'After three days I will rise again.'

He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

For this might have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, and given to the poor." They grumbled against her.

Jesus answered him, "Will you lay down your life for me? Most certainly I tell you, the rooster won't crow until you have denied me three times.
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.
