'Waist' in the Bible

So Hanun arrested David's delegation, shaved off half of their beards, cut off their clothes at the waist line, and sent them away in disgrace.

There was the likeness of the appearance of a human being seated on the likeness of the throne high above. Below this there was something resembling fire, with a radiant light surrounding him.
