The Pharisees heard the multitude saying these things concerning him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent to take him by force.

Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, Why have you not brought him?

Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Your nation and the chief priests have delivered you to me; what have you done?

When therefore the chief priests and officers saw him, they cried, saying, Crucify him! crucify him! Pilate said to them, Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no fault in him.

Then they cried out, Away with him, away with him! crucify him! Pilate said to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews, but that he said, I am King of the Jews.
