'City of David' in the Bible

And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, You shall not come here. Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion, which is the city of David.

And David dwelt in the stronghold; therefore they called it the city of David.

So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.

And David made himself houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
