'To the Lord' in the Bible
Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days.
They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the harlot, but not increase,Because they have stopped giving heed to the Lord.
“Come, let us return to the Lord. For He has torn us, but He will heal us;He has wounded us, but He will bandage us.
Though the pride of Israel testifies against him,Yet they have not returned to the Lord their God,Nor have they sought Him, for all this.
They will not pour out drink offerings of wine to the Lord,Their sacrifices will not please Him.Their bread will be like mourners’ bread; All who eat of it will be defiled,For their bread will be for themselves alone; It will not enter the house of the Lord.
Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God,For you have stumbled because of your iniquity.
Take words with you and return to the Lord.Say to Him, “Take away all iniquityAnd receive us graciously,That we may present the fruit of our lips.
