'Crowd' in the Bible

When they were not able to bring him in because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Jesus. Then, after tearing it out, they lowered the stretcher the paralytic was lying on.

Jesus went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

Because of the crowd, he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him so the crowd would not press toward him.

A crowd was sitting around him and they said to him, "Look, your mother and your brothers are outside looking for you."

Again he began to teach by the lake. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat on the lake and sat there while the whole crowd was on the shore by the lake.

So after leaving the crowd, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat, and other boats were with him.

When Jesus had crossed again in a boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he was by the sea.

Jesus knew at once that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched my clothes?"

His disciples said to him, "You see the crowd pressing against you and you say, 'Who touched me?'"

Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dispersed the crowd.

Then he called the crowd again and said to them, "Listen to me, everyone, and understand.

Now when Jesus had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.

After Jesus took him aside privately, away from the crowd, he put his fingers in the man's ears, and after spitting, he touched his tongue.

In those days there was another large crowd with nothing to eat. So Jesus called his disciples and said to them,

"I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.

Then he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. After he took the seven loaves and gave thanks, he broke them and began giving them to the disciples to serve. So they served the crowd.

When they came to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and experts in the law arguing with them.

When the whole crowd saw him, they were amazed and ran at once and greeted him.

A member of the crowd said to him, "Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that makes him mute.

Now when Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again."

They came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.

The chief priests and the experts in the law heard it and they considered how they could assassinate him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed by his teaching.

But if we say, 'From people -- '" (they feared the crowd, for they all considered John to be truly a prophet).

Now they wanted to arrest him (but they feared the crowd), because they realized that he told this parable against them. So they left him and went away.

If David himself calls him 'Lord,' how can he be his son?" And the large crowd was listening to him with delight.

Then he sat down opposite the offering box, and watched the crowd putting coins into it. Many rich people were throwing in large amounts.

Right away, while Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, arrived. With him came a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and experts in the law and elders.

Then the crowd came up and began to ask Pilate to release a prisoner for them, as was his custom.

But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release Barabbas instead.
