'Given' in the Bible

for the law was given through Moses,grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

John responded, “No one can receive a single thing unless it’s given to him from heaven.

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands.

so He came to a town of Samaria called Sychar near the property that Jacob had given his son Joseph.

The Father, in fact, judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son,

“But I have a greater testimony than John’s because of the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish. These very works I am doing testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

This is the will of Him who sent Me: that I should lose none of those He has given Me but should raise them up on the last day.

“Consider this: Moses has given you circumcision—not that it comes from Moses but from the fathers—and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.

My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

The chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where He was, he should report it so they could arrest Him.

“Why wasn’t this fragrant oil sold for 300 denarii and given to the poor?”

For I have not spoken on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a command as to what I should say and what I should speak.

Jesus knew that the Father had given everything into His hands, that He had come from God, and that He was going back to God.

For I have given you an example that you also should do just as I have done for you.

When a woman is in labor she has pain because her time has come. But when she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the suffering because of the joy that a person has been born into the world.

for You gave Him authorityover all flesh;so He may give eternal lifeto all You have given Him.

Now they know that all thingsYou have given to Me are from You,

because the words that You gave Me,I have given them.They have received themand have known for certainthat I came from You.They have believed that You sent Me.

I pray for them.I am not praying for the worldbut for those You have given Me,because they are Yours.

I am no longer in the world,but they are in the world,and I am coming to You.Holy Father,protect them by Your namethat You have given Me,so that they may be one as We are one.

While I was with them,I was protecting them by Your namethat You have given Me.I guarded them and not one of them is lost,except the son of destruction,so that the Scripture may be fulfilled.

I have given them Your word.The world hated thembecause they are not of the world,as I am not of the world.

I have given them the glory You have given Me.May they be one as We are one.

Father,I desire those You have given Meto be with Me where I am.Then they will see My glory,which You have given Mebecause You loved Me before the world’s foundation.

This was to fulfill the words He had said: “I have not lost one of those You have given Me.”

At that, Jesus said to Peter, “Sheathe your sword! Am I not to drink the cup the Father has given Me?”

“You would have no authority over Me at all,” Jesus answered him, “if it hadn’t been given you from above. This is why the one who handed Me over to you has the greater sin.”
