'Horses' in the Bible
I was attentive that night and saw a man seated on a red horse that stood among some myrtle trees in the ravine. Behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses.
Harnessed to the first chariot were red horses, to the second black horses,
to the third white horses, and to the fourth spotted horses, all of them strong.
The chariot with the black horses is going to the north country and the white ones are going after them, but the spotted ones are going to the south country.
In that day," says the Lord, "I will strike every horse with confusion and its rider with madness. I will pay close attention to the house of Judah, but will strike all the horses of the nations with blindness.
This is the kind of plague that will devastate horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all the other animals in those camps.
On that day the bells of the horses will bear the inscription "Holy to the Lord." The cooking pots in the Lord's temple will be as holy as the bowls in front of the altar.
