'Kept' in the Bible
After some time his wife Elizabeth became pregnant, and for five months she kept herself in seclusion. She said,
All who heard these things kept them in their hearts, saying, "What then will this child be?" For the Lord's hand was indeed with him.
And the child kept growing and becoming strong in spirit, and he was in the wilderness until the day he was revealed to Israel.
Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. But his mother kept all these things in her heart.
For Jesus had started commanding the evil spirit to come out of the man. (For it had seized him many times, so he would be bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard. But he would break the restraints and be driven by the demon into deserted places.)
After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. So they kept silent and told no one at that time anything of what they had seen.
There was also a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, 'Give me justice against my adversary.'
But they kept on shouting, "Crucify, crucify him!"
(but their eyes were kept from recognizing him).
