'Malign' in the Bible
You people, how long will you malign my reputation? How long will you love what is vain and what is false? Interlude
"Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says Yahweh; "I will set him in safety from those who malign him."
Those who stood by said, "Do you malign God's high priest?"
to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.
and maintain good conduct among the non-Christians, so that though they now malign you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God when he appears.
But [do so] with courtesy and respect, having a good conscience, so that in [the things] in which you are slandered, the ones who malign your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame.
In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you;
