'Saying' in the Bible
All the people were so stunned that they kept saying to each other, "What is this? A new teaching with authority! He tells even the unclean spirits what to do, and they obey him!"
At once, Jesus knew in his spirit what they were saying to themselves. "Why are you arguing about such things among yourselves?" he asked them.
So the man got up, immediately picked up his mat, and went out in front of all of them. As a result, all of the people were amazed and began to glorify God as they kept on saying, "We have never seen anything like this!"
When his family heard about it, they went to restrain him, because they kept saying, "He's out of his mind!"
"because they had been saying, "He has an unclean spirit."
He was also saying, "The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seeds on the ground.
He was also saying, "How can we show what the kingdom of God is like, or what parable can we use to describe it?
Overcome with fear, they kept saying to one another, "Who is this man? Even the wind and the sea obey him!"
Jesus had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"
and begged him urgently, saying, "My little daughter is dying. Come and lay your hands on her so that she may get well and live."
because she had been saying, "If I can just touch his robe, I will get well."
King Herod heard about this, because Jesus' name had become well-known. He was saying, "John the Baptist has been raised from the dead! That's why he is able to do these miracles."
Others were saying, "He is Elijah." Still others were saying, "He is a prophet like one of the other prophets."
After saying goodbye to them, he went up on a hillside to pray.
Amazed beyond measure, they kept on saying, "He does everything well! He even makes deaf people hear and mute people talk!"
Then Jesus sent him home, saying, "Don't go into the village or tell anyone in the village."
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But turning and looking at his disciples, Jesus rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind me, Satan, because you're not thinking God's thoughts, but human thoughts!"
When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You spirit that won't let him talk or hear I command you to come out of him and never enter him again!"
He still had one more person to send, a son whom he loved. Finally, he sent him to them, saying, "They will respect my son.'
because they kept saying, "This must not happen during the festival. Otherwise, there'll be a riot among the people."
While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and handed it to them, saying, "Take some. This is my body."
But Peter kept saying emphatically, "Even if I have to die with you, I'll never deny you!" And all the others kept saying the same thing.
Now the betrayer personally had given them a signal, saying, "The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him, and lead him safely away."
Then some men stood up and gave false testimony against him, saying,
But he denied it, saying, "I don't know or even understand what you're talking about!" Then he went out into the entryway. Just then a rooster crowed.
Those who passed by kept insulting him, shaking their heads, and saying, "Ha! You who were going to destroy the sanctuary and rebuild it in three days
In the same way, the high priests, along with the scribes, were also making fun of him among themselves. They kept saying, "He saved others, but can't save himself!
So someone ran and soaked a sponge in some sour wine. Then he put it on a stick and offered Jesus a drink, saying, "Wait! Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down!"
