'Sent' in the Bible

A man came, sent from God, {whose name was} John.

And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem so that they could ask him, "Who are you?"

Then they said to him, "Who are you, so that we can give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?"

And I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water, that one said to me, '[The one] upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon him--this one is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

You yourselves testify about me that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I am sent before that one.'

in order that all [people] will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

The one who speaks from himself seeks his own glory. But the one who seeks the glory of the one who sent him--this one is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Then Jesus cried out in the temple [courts], teaching and saying, "You both know me and you know where I am from! And I have not come from myself, but the one who sent me is true, whom you do not know.

The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these [things] about him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers in order {to take him into custody }.

I have many [things] to say and to judge concerning you, but the one who sent me is true, and [the things] which I heard from him, these [things] I say to the world."

Jesus said to them, "If God were your father, you would love me, for I have come forth from God and have come. For I have not come from myself, but that one sent me.

And he said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated "sent"). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

So the sisters sent [word] to him, saying, "Lord, behold, [the one] whom you love is sick."

And I know that you always hear me, but for the sake of the crowd standing around I said [it], so that they may believe that you sent me."

Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send receives me, and the one who receives me receives the one who sent me."

The one who does not love me does not keep my words, and the word that you hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.

But now I am going away to the one who sent me, and none of you is asking me, 'Where are you going?'

because the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they received [them] and know truly that I have come from you, and they have believed that you have sent me.

Then Annas sent him, tied up, to Caiaphas the high priest.
