David's Instructions For Solomon

¹ When David’s time to die approached, he gave instructions to Solomon his son, saying, ² “I am going the way of all the earth [as dust to dust]. Be strong and prove yourself a man. ³ Keep the charge of the Lord your God, [that is, fulfill your obligation to] walk in His ways, keep His statutes, His commandments, His precepts, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, so that you may succeed in everything that you do and wherever you turn,

Joshua 23:14

“Now behold, today I am going the way of all the earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word of all the good words which the Lord your God has promised concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled for you, not one of them has failed.

Joshua 1:6-7
