'In Zion' in the Bible

It will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded for life in Jerusalem.

Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts, “O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did.

Therefore thus says the Lord God,“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone,A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed.He who believes in it will not be disturbed.

O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.

“His rock will pass away because of panic,And his princes will be terrified at the standard,”Declares the Lord, whose fire is in Zion and whose furnace is in Jerusalem.

Sinners in Zion are terrified;Trembling has seized the godless.“Who among us can live with the consuming fire?Who among us can live with continual burning?”

“I bring near My righteousness, it is not far off;And My salvation will not delay.And I will grant salvation in Zion,And My glory for Israel.

To grant those who mourn in Zion,Giving them a garland instead of ashes,The oil of gladness instead of mourning,The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.So they will be called oaks of righteousness,The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
