And my soul is greatly dismayed;
But You, O Lordhow long?

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?
How long will You hide Your face from me?

Lord, how long will You look on?
Rescue my soul from their ravages,
My only life from the lions.

How long, O Lord? Will You be angry forever?
Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

O Lord God of hosts,
How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people?

How long, O Lord?
Will You hide Yourself forever?
Will Your wrath burn like fire?

Do return, O Lord; how long will it be?
And be sorry for Your servants.

How long shall the wicked, O Lord,
How long shall the wicked exult?

How long, O Lord, will I call for help,
And You will not hear?
I cry out to You, “Violence!”
Yet You do not save.

Then the angel of the Lord said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will You have no compassion for Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which You have been indignant these seventy years?”

How long, O Lord? Will You be angry forever?
Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

O Lord God of hosts,
How long will You be angry with the prayer of Your people?

Remove Your plague from me;
Because of the opposition of Your hand I am perishing.

O Lord, in accordance with all Your righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all those around us.

O God, the nations have invaded Your inheritance; They have defiled Your holy temple; They have laid Jerusalem in ruins. They have given the dead bodies of Your servants for food to the birds of the heavens, The flesh of Your godly ones to the beasts of the earth. They have poured out their blood like water round about Jerusalem; And there was no one to bury them. read more.
We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A scoffing and derision to those around us. How long, O LORD? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire? Pour out Your wrath upon the nations which do not know You, And upon the kingdoms which do not call upon Your name. For they have devoured Jacob And laid waste his habitation.
