'Privilege' in the Bible
But all who have received Him, to them--that is, to those who trust in His name--He has given the privilege of becoming children of God;
What special privilege, then, has a Jew? Or what benefit is to be derived from circumcision?
The privilege is great from every point of view. First of all, because the Jews were entrusted with God's truth.
For you have had the privilege granted you on behalf of Christ--not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf;
Nay, I even reckon all things as pure loss because of the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. And for His sake I have suffered the loss of everything, and reckon it all as mere refuse, in order that I may win Christ and be found in union with Him,
"'Let all who have ears give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. To him who overcomes I will give the privilege of eating the fruit of the Tree of Life, which is in the Paradise of God.'
"'To him who overcomes I will give the privilege of sitting down with Me on My throne, as I also have overcome and have sat down with My Father on His throne.
He also said, "They have now been fulfilled. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To those who are thirsty I will give the privilege of drinking from the well of the Water of Life without payment.
