'Vowed' in the Bible
Be careful to do whatever comes from your lips, because you have freely vowed what you promised to the Lord your God.
For the Israelites wandered in the wilderness 40 years until all the nation’s men of war who came out of Egypt had died off because they did not obey the Lord. So the Lord vowed never to let them see the land He had sworn to their fathers to give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
She replied, “Please, may the king invoke the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not increase the loss, and they will not eliminate my son!”“As the Lord lives,” he vowed, “not a hair of your son will fall to the ground.”
But in response, Ittai vowed to the king, “As the Lord lives and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king is, whether it means life or death, your servant will be there!”
but as for me, I will sacrifice to Youwith a voice of thanksgiving.I will fulfill what I have vowed.Salvation is from the Lord!
