thanksgiving [choirs] ､

to the right hand

And thanksgiving [choir]

and as far as

– שַׁ֣עַר

Gate –

הַצֹּ֑אן‪‬‪‬

haṣ·ṣōn;

וְעָ֣מְד֔וּ

wə·‘ā·mə·ḏū,

and they stopped

בְּשַׁ֖עַר

bə·ša·‘ar

by the Gate

. הַמַּטָּרָֽה׃

ham·maṭ·ṭā·rāh.

of the Prison .

וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֛דְנָה

wat·ta·‘ă·mō·ḏə·nāh

the two

הַתּוֹדֹ֖ת

thanksgiving [choirs]

בְּבֵ֣ית

in the house

､ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים

､ וַאֲנִ֕י

and likewise I ､

וַחֲצִ֥י

wa·ḥă·ṣî

and the half

הַסְּגָנִ֖ים

has·sə·ḡā·nîm

of the rulers

. עִמִּֽי׃

‘im·mî.

with me .

– וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֡ים

wə·hak·kō·hă·nîm

And the priests –

､ אֶלְיָקִ֡ים

’el·yā·qîm

､ מַעֲשֵׂיָ֡ה

ma·‘ă·śê·yāh

､ מִ֠נְיָמִין

min·yā·mîn

､ מִיכָיָ֧ה

mî·ḵā·yāh

､ אֶלְיוֹעֵינַ֛י

’el·yō·w·‘ê·nay

､ זְכַרְיָ֥ה

zə·ḵar·yāh

､ חֲנַנְיָ֖ה

ḥă·nan·yāh

[and] Hananiah ､

– בַּחֲצֹצְרֽוֹת׃

ba·ḥă·ṣō·ṣə·rō·wṯ.

with trumpets –

､ וּמַעֲשֵׂיָ֨ה

ū·ma·‘ă·śê·yāh

and Maaseiah ､

､ וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֜ה

ū·šə·ma‘·yāh

and Shemaiah ､

､ וְאֶלְעָזָ֧ר

wə·’el·‘ā·zār

and Eleazar ､

､ וְעֻזִּ֛י

wə·‘uz·zî

and Uzzi ､

､ וִֽיהוֹחָנָ֥ן

wî·hō·w·ḥā·nān

､ וּמַלְכִּיָּ֖ה

ū·mal·kî·yāh

and Malchijah ､

､ וְעֵילָ֣ם

wə·‘ê·lām

and Elam ､

. וָעָ֑זֶר

wā·‘ā·zer;

and Ezer .

､ וַיַּשְׁמִ֙יעוּ֙

way·yaš·mî·‘ū

And sang loudly ､

הַמְשֹׁ֣רְרִ֔ים

ham·šō·rə·rîm,

וְיִֽזְרַחְיָ֖ה

wə·yiz·raḥ·yāh

and with Izrahiah

. הַפָּקִֽיד׃

hap·pā·qîḏ.

וַיִּזְבְּח֣וּ

way·yiz·bə·ḥū

And they offered

בַיּוֹם־

ḇay·yō·wm-

הַ֠הוּא

ha·hū

､ זְבָחִ֨ים

zə·ḇā·ḥîm

גְּדוֹלִ֜ים

gə·ḏō·w·lîm

– וַיִּשְׂמָ֗חוּ

way·yiś·mā·ḥū,

and rejoiced –

כִּ֤י

kî

הָאֱלֹהִים֙

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm

שִׂמְּחָם֙

śim·mə·ḥām

had made them rejoice

､ שִׂמְחָ֣ה

śim·ḥāh

with joy ､

גְדוֹלָ֔ה

ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh,

וְגַ֧ם

wə·ḡam

and also

הַנָּשִׁ֛ים

han·nā·šîm

וְהַיְלָדִ֖ים

wə·hay·lā·ḏîm

and the sons

､ שָׂמֵ֑חוּ

śā·mê·ḥū;

וַתִּשָּׁמַ֛ע

wat·tiš·šā·ma‘

so that was heard

שִׂמְחַ֥ת

śim·ḥaṯ

the joy

יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם

yə·rū·šā·lim

. מֵרָחֽוֹק׃

mê·rā·ḥō·wq.

Provisions for Temple Worship

וַיִּפָּקְד֣וּ

And were appointed

בַיּוֹם֩

of the storehouse ､

､ לַתְּרוּמוֹת֮

for the offerings ､

､ לָרֵאשִׁ֣ית

lā·rê·šîṯ

the firstfruits ､

､ וְלַמַּֽעַשְׂרוֹת֒

wə·lam·ma·‘aś·rō·wṯ

and the tithes ､

לִכְנ֨וֹס

liḵ·nō·ws

בָּהֶ֜ם

bā·hem

לִשְׂדֵ֤י

liś·ḏê

from the fields

הֶעָרִים֙

he·‘ā·rîm

of the cities

מְנָא֣וֹת

mə·nā·’ō·wṯ

the portions [specified] by

הַתּוֹרָ֔ה

hat·tō·w·rāh,

the Law

לַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים

lak·kō·hă·nîm

for the priests

– וְלַלְוִיִּ֑ם

wə·lal·wî·yim;

and Levites –

כִּ֚י

kî

שִׂמְחַ֣ת

יְהוּדָ֔ה

yə·hū·ḏāh,

עַל־

‘al-

הַכֹּהֲנִ֥ים

and

. הָעֹמְדִֽים׃

hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm.

who ministered .

וַֽיִּשְׁמְר֞וּ

way·yiš·mə·rū

And kept

מִשְׁמֶ֤רֶת

miš·me·reṯ

､ אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶם֙

’ĕ·lō·hê·hem

of their God ､

וּמִשְׁמֶ֣רֶת

ū·miš·me·reṯ

and the charge

､ הַֽטָּהֳרָ֔ה

haṭ·ṭā·ho·rāh,

of the purification ､

וְהַמְשֹׁרְרִ֖ים

wə·ham·šō·rə·rîm

and both the singers

וְהַשֹּׁעֲרִ֑ים

wə·haš·šō·‘ă·rîm;

and the gatekeepers

כְּמִצְוַ֥ת

kə·miṣ·waṯ

according to the command

､ דָּוִ֖יד

dā·wîḏ

of David ､

שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה

. בְנֽוֹ׃

､ זְרֻבָּבֶ֜ל

and in the days

､ נְחֶמְיָ֗ה

nə·ḥem·yāh,

of Nehemiah ､

נֹֽתְנִ֛ים

consecrated [them]

לִבְנֵ֥י

liḇ·nê
