– הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃

､ לָלֶ֖דֶת

lā·le·ḏeṯ

to be born ､

וְעֵ֣ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לָמ֑וּת

lā·mūṯ;

to die –

עֵ֣ת

‘êṯ

､ לָטַ֔עַת

lā·ṭa·‘aṯ,

to plant ､

וְעֵ֖ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

לַעֲק֥וֹר

la·‘ă·qō·wr

– נָטֽוּעַ׃

nā·ṭū·a‘.

[what is] planted –

עֵ֤ת

‘êṯ

､ לַהֲרוֹג֙

la·hă·rō·wḡ

to kill ､

וְעֵ֣ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לִרְפּ֔וֹא

lir·pō·w,

to heal –

עֵ֥ת

‘êṯ

､ לִפְר֖וֹץ

lip̄·rō·wṣ

to break down ､

וְעֵ֥ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לִבְנֽוֹת׃

liḇ·nō·wṯ.

to build up –

עֵ֤ת

‘êṯ

､ לִבְכּוֹת֙

liḇ·kō·wṯ

to weep ､

וְעֵ֣ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לִשְׂח֔וֹק

liś·ḥō·wq,

to laugh –

עֵ֥ת

‘êṯ

､ סְפ֖וֹד

sə·p̄ō·wḏ

to mourn ､

וְעֵ֥ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– רְקֽוֹד׃

rə·qō·wḏ.

to dance –

עֵ֚ת

‘êṯ

לְהַשְׁלִ֣יךְ

lə·haš·lîḵ

､ אֲבָנִ֔ים

’ă·ḇā·nîm,

וְעֵ֖ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

כְּנ֣וֹס

kə·nō·ws

– אֲבָנִ֑ים

’ă·ḇā·nîm;

עֵ֣ת

‘êṯ

､ לַחֲב֔וֹק

la·ḥă·ḇō·wq,

to embrace ､

וְעֵ֖ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

לִרְחֹ֥ק

lir·ḥōq

– מֵחַבֵּֽק׃

mê·ḥab·bêq.

from embracing –

､ לְבַקֵּשׁ֙

to gain ､

וְעֵ֣ת

and a time

– לְאַבֵּ֔ד

to lose –

עֵ֥ת

､ לִשְׁמ֖וֹר

to keep ､

וְעֵ֥ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לְהַשְׁלִֽיךְ׃

lə·haš·lîḵ.

to away –

､ לִקְר֙וֹעַ֙

to tear ､

וְעֵ֣ת

and a time

– לִתְפּ֔וֹר

to sew –

עֵ֥ת

､ לַחֲשׁ֖וֹת

to keep silence ､

וְעֵ֥ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לְדַבֵּֽר׃

lə·ḏab·bêr.

to speak –

עֵ֤ת

‘êṯ

､ לֶֽאֱהֹב֙

le·’ĕ·hōḇ

to love ､

וְעֵ֣ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

– לִשְׂנֹ֔א

liś·nō,

to hate –

עֵ֥ת

‘êṯ

､ מִלְחָמָ֖ה

mil·ḥā·māh

of war ､

וְעֵ֥ת

wə·‘êṯ

and a time

the sons

are to be occupied

､ לִשְׂמ֔וֹחַ

to rejoice ､

וְלַעֲשׂ֥וֹת

and to do

ט֖וֹב

ṭō·wḇ

. בְּחַיָּֽיו׃

bə·ḥay·yāw.

in their lives .

וְגַ֤ם

wə·ḡam

And also

כָּל־

kāl-

הָאָדָם֙

hā·’ā·ḏām

שֶׁיֹּאכַ֣ל

še·yō·ḵal

that should eat

､ וְשָׁתָ֔ה

wə·šā·ṯāh,

and drink ､

וְרָאָ֥ה

wə·rā·’āh

ט֖וֹב

ṭō·wḇ

the good

בְּכָל־

bə·ḵāl

of all

､ עֲמָל֑וֹ

‘ă·mā·lōw;

מַתַּ֥ת

mat·taṯ

the gift

אֱלֹהִ֖ים

’ĕ·lō·hîm

of God

. הִֽיא׃

it [is] .

יָדַ֗עְתִּי

לִגְרֹ֑עַ

וְהָאֱלֹהִ֣ים

and God

עָשָׂ֔ה

‘ā·śāh,

does [it]

שֶׁיִּֽרְא֖וּ

that men should fear

. מִלְּפָנָֽיו׃

Wickedness [was]

וּמְק֥וֹם

and [in] the place

､ הַצֶּ֖דֶק

haṣ·ṣe·ḏeq

of righteousness ､

שָׁ֥מָּה

šām·māh

. הָרָֽשַׁע׃

hā·rā·ša‘.

Iniquity [was] .

אָמַ֤רְתִּֽי

’ā·mar·tî

אֲנִי֙

､ בְּלִבִּ֔י

bə·lib·bî,

in my heart ､

אֶת־

הַצַּדִּיק֙

haṣ·ṣad·dîq

וְאֶת־

wə·’eṯ-

and

– הָ֣רָשָׁ֔ע

hā·rā·šā‘,

the wicked –

יִשְׁפֹּ֖ט

yiš·pōṭ

הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים

hā·’ĕ·lō·hîm;

כִּי־

kî-

עֵ֣ת

‘êṯ

[there is] a time

לְכָל־

חֵ֔פֶץ

ḥê·p̄eṣ,

וְעַ֥ל

wə·‘al

כָּל־

kāl-

הַֽמַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה

. שָֽׁם׃

אָמַ֤רְתִּֽי

אֲנִי֙

בְּלִבִּ֔י

in my heart

עַל־

דִּבְרַת֙

of the sons

לְבָרָ֖ם

that they may see

[is] vanity .
